The Pearland Chamber of Commerce, has honored Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor International (MCO-I) with the Business of the Year award at their 2020 Annual Banquet. Recognizing the company’s outstanding participation, leadership and involvement in the local community, Mayor Tom Reid, presented the award to Manabu Saga, President, of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor International.
In addition, Lawrence Rominger, VP of QHSE & IT Systems and a Director of the Pearland Chamber of Commerce was there to accept the presented award and give a speech on behalf of Manabu Saga to show his appreciation for being selected as the Chambers’ Business of the Year.
Since 2014, MCO-I has been an integral part of building out the business district on Kirby Drive, providing jobs to the local economy as well as helping non-profit organizations, schools and the local community.
On receiving the award, Lawrence Rominger explained: “MCO-I is proud to accept this distinguished award. It is fitting that in the year of the Pearland Chamber’s recognition, we also celebrated 5-year anniversaries for several of our very first MCO-I associates. We thank you. MCO-I has been honored numerous times in the past with visits by Mayor Tom Reid and the Pearland Chamber ranging from the MCO-I Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in 2015, sharing the ISO Certifications Celebration in 2018, and hosting the highly successful Shop Pearland Vendor Fair in 2019. We look forward to many more successful milestones to share with you, our wonderful Pearland partners in business.”
MCO-I looks forward to continuing its partnership with the Pearland Chambers, as the city has become the fastest growing communities in Texas!
MCO-I has also been independently audited for compliance to ISO 45001:2018, Safety, and was approved to start the formal qualification process for this fourth ISO standard.
