In an effort to strengthen after-sale customer support, Zollern Group’s Plain Bearing Technology division (Zollern) has entered into an exclusive license agreement with U.S.-based Pioneer Motor Bearing Co.
“This agreement is a product of the Zollern Group’s philosophy of global thinking and local interaction,” remarked Udo Heukrodt, Managing Director of Zollern’s Plain Bearing Technology division. “One of the purchasing criteria all customers have for new products is service and support after the sale. Our collaboration with Pioneer enables us to provide a rapid response to customer requirements in or much closer to their time zone.”
As part of the agreement, Pioneer will have access to proprietary information to provide technical support services for end users of Zollern hydrodynamic plain bearings in North America. Zollern and Pioneer have worked together on an informal basis for the past several years.
Pioneer will be now be able to perform inspection, repair and design upgrades at its facility in North Carolina as well as offer replacements and perform evaluation and root cause analysis at the customer’s site.
